Technical Committees
The purpose of the EWRI Seattle Chapter is to create an active forum where members can engage in the local water engineering community. This is achieved by providing opportunities to attend informational presentations that highlight local water resource projects, issues, methods, and products. The committee also provides a venue for water resources professionals in the Seattle area to become acquainted, socialize, and exchange ideas.
The Geo-Institute Seattle Section Geotechnical Group's mission is to advance geotechnical practice in the Puget Sound Region by providing leadership on public issues, sharing professional experience, and promoting education.
The ASCE Seattle COPRI Chapter seeks to advance the engineering profession and to facilitate communication concerning the state, utilization, and protection of waterways, ports, harbors, and estuarine areas through monthly gatherings and presentations engaging diverse speakers and interested members of the interdisciplinary professional community.
Structural Engineers Association of Washington is a not-for-profit professional organization founded in 1950. Dedicated to the advancement of excellence in structural engineering through building code advocacy, continuing education, research, emergency preparedness, exchange of ideas, and mentoring, to ensure the highest standards of practice are upheld and to guard public safety.
The ASCE Seattle Sustainability Committee's mission is to build a community of local civil engineers, planners, facility owners, and students to share sustainable practices. We promote sustainable development principles through outreach activities, collaboration with others, and professional development.
